Amsterdam Art Bridge:<\/h3>\n

In this project we attempt to rethink the meaning and function of a contemporary bridge situated in the center of Amsterdam. Our idea was to create a bridge not like an object, but like a trigger for experiences. The bridge itself is not the ‘event’ in the city, but a platform that can accommodate all the events of the city. A platform 30 meters wide and 91 meters long is stretched beyond the water on either side, creating a seamles conection with the land.
\nThe design is kept simple. The platform is elevated by 1.5 meters, flanked on longer sides by two structural rows which adapts the comunication of ramps and stairs. The comunication is straight and fast while the platform becomes the space of interaction. This concept provided an elegant and neutral design and appearance of the bridge.
\nThe simplicity of the design allows a generous platform for pedestrians and public programs, as well as flexibility in accommodating the future needs of people of Amsterdam.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”14819″ img_size=”large” onclick=”img_link_large” css_animation=”left-to-right”][vc_single_image image=”14818″ img_size=”large” alignment=”right” onclick=”img_link_large” css_animation=”right-to-left”][vc_single_image image=”14821″ img_size=”large” onclick=”img_link_large” css_animation=”left-to-right”][vc_single_image image=”14822″ img_size=”large” alignment=”right” onclick=”img_link_large” css_animation=”right-to-left”][vc_single_image image=”14820″ img_size=”large” onclick=”img_link_large” css_animation=”left-to-right”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_text_separator title=”SIMILAR PROJECTS” title_align=”separator_align_left”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]
