SASHA barbershopA space of a ​​former hair salon “Marjan”, situated in the old center of downtown, was necessary to adapt to the client’s desires and needs – to design a modern barber-hairdresser shop with retro-room elements that have a task of reviving the atmosphere of the once popular barbershop. Bearing walls and ceilings are plastered, while dividing walls are painted in white. Black line on the wall that leads to the barber chair is a kind of “shrine” to the former barbershops and hair salons.

Black & white dominate the space and gray shades are revived by wooden details of chair backs, mirrors and reception desk. Interior design is based on the concept of former old barbershop. Floors, previously painted in black & white, kept the same color combination but now in the form of a ring of black & white tiles alternating on the floor, walls and ceiling. In this ring an old, restored barber chair and washing stool (shampoo unit) are now situated, as well as all the necessary accessories for these two positions. The rest of the salon is equipped with modern hairdressing furniture, contrasting the barbershop retro corner…, project by UPI-2M.
