publication 11/18/2019 | The construction site in the Paromlin area is currently undergoing a clean-up phase, and a measurement of the current situation will begin this week.

Announcement March 26th, 2019. : The official grand opening of logistic and distribution center for Atlantic Group in Vukovina (Velika Gorica, Croatia) was on March 2019.

announcement February 28th, 2019:  UPI-2M won the 1st prize at the competition for the conceptual architectural-urban solution of the new City Library of the City of Zagreb, which will be built at the site of former „Paromlin“ in the Zagreb.

Announcement September 5, 2018. Construction of the Logistic and Distribution Center (LDC) in Vukovinsko Polje , Velika Gorica is ongoing. The construction of the center, whose total area will be around 21,000 m2, started in April 2018, and for this project we provided architecture and structures design.

Announcement: May 29, 2018. Our studio has participated in urban-architectural competition for business – residential building in Branimirova – Heinzelova street, Zagreb, Croatia, on which we co-authored with Vedrana Moslavac, Ivan Mostahinić, Ivan Periša and Martina Milošević by winning the 5th prize.

UPI-2M started with introducing of BIM (Building Information Modeling) design process. By this introduction, through the Allplan 2016 Engineering and SCIA programs, we managed to connect all our processes, from the stage of conceptual thru structural and workshop design, and with this technology we managed to precisely enable all details to be visible in 3D. BIM allows investors to “feel” every detail of the project, and from our perspective it contributes to efficiency, mistake reduction or even confusion and facilitate understanding of the drawings and construction at the site.

Completition of work and interior decoration of Croatia Records retail store in Bogoviceva street 5 in Zagreb . Under the new project, in which we participated as interior designers and overall investment managers , a coffee bar ” Nova ploča” and a new Croatia Records retail store are opened.

We collaborated with Dean Skira, who is the author of the concept and the lighting design, on the ”Rovinjski nar” (Rovinj’s pomengranate) project. We were the chief architects and structural designers.

Announcement: April 19, 2015.
We collaborated with the German project office Leicht, who provided the construction design, on the complete work-shop documentation for the new office building and headquarter of the Paulaner company in Munich. Construction work started in December last year and its completion is scheduled for September 2015. As this is monolithic, prefabaricated and steel building the work will be very demanding. Total construction site area is 10 000 m2.

After many years of the rehabilitation and reconstruction the French Pavilion in Zagreb has been completely finished. We provided the construction design and expert site supervision.

UPI-2M is the author of one of the conceptual designs for the Brunico’s sports hall invited competition. Ten international offices were taking part in the competition.

The final phase of the works on the beautiful holiday house, which is located on the Zagorje side of Sljeme, is ongoing.

The first tenants are moving into the residential building in Medvedgradska Street in Zagreb. Our office provided the full service design and supervision services of the project.

A trend of designing and construction of low-energy (and passive) houses is on its rise, indicating awareness of our investors for innovative ecological solutions in architecture by using materials that positively affect the life quality and contribute to the healthier life in general. A house of 120 m2 in Strmec, Samobor, which construction is in progress, is built entirely of natural material – wood.

UPI-2M design was featured in many publications during the year 2012. Four great book titles bring our projects Arena Zagreb and Culture Club Revelin together with some world known architects and practices such as OMA Architects, Zaha Hadid, Santiago Caltrava, BIG Architects, Snohetta, Fosters, SOMAA. A book BOUTIQUE RESTAURANTS from series ‘World Interior Design’, published by Phoenix is a collection of some of the most creative restaurant designs in the world, including “45 works from extraordinary designers, architects and design company. Each project is shown in terms of the whole space layout and detail in the space with words of the design specifications and design highlights, which make readers learn the design concept thoroughly and get intuitive reference value”. UPI-2M project Culture Club Revelin is a part of this book. ARCHITECTURE REPORT 2012, published by Rihan CC represents a systematic review of recent world architecture highlights. A book is divided in 4 segments – commercial, office, landscape design and sports venues with Arena Zagreb here introduced.

French Institute Mediatheque in the very center of the Zagreb city exists for 90 years and serves as a center for culture, education and art exhibitions to all citizens, also, with largest collection of french newspapers, magazines, books and exercises. it is equipped with new modern technology and multimedia services (IT Board interactive whiteboard, iPad’s, Wi-Fi), and a new on-line services; today it is a cozy and warm space open to all, artists, intellectuals, students, professors. All mentioned requested the brand new interior refreshment.

Zagreb Architecture Association launched the 3rd Zagreb Architecture Days – a manifestation that through 6 days program promotes and celebrates architectural realizations in the city of Zagreb, this year with a special accent to Zagreb as a European city. Alan Leo Plestina, on a behalf of UPI-2M author team presented the story on creating and building the multifunctional hall Arena Zagreb. Participants had an opportunity also to visit and being introduced with the significant buildings in Zagreb and speak on details with their authors.
